Business Development director

Dialect wants to cement themselves as the world’s leading integrated marketing agency for tech and gaming brands, and we need a US Business Development Director to drive our growth.

We already work with some global tech and gaming brands like Logitech, Nvidia, Blue Microphones, Wizards of the Coast, Glu Mobile, Extreme Networks and Rebellion. But we’re hungry for more.

You’ll be working alongside an experienced senior management team who have a track record of growing media and agency businesses, but who recognise a need for a senior hire to join the team and lead on Business Development.

You’ll be directing the US sales and marketing efforts alongside the CEO, with a UK Business Development team also generating leads and supporting the sales process, and a Marketing Manager whose role is to raise the awareness of Dialect in the tech and gaming industry through strong content and thought leadership.

You’ll be expanding on the existing events strategy, and working with our growing network of complementary partners with which we collaborate on client projects.

The experience we need

You’re a Business Development Director who has worked in the tech and gaming industry for media companies and/or marketing agencies.

You will have managed Sales and Marketing teams, with a focus on new client acquisition. 

You’ll come with a black book of senior marketers from games and tech brands

You will understand the full marketing funnel, and be able to have strategic conversations with our senior clients from the outset.

You will have experience in putting together pitches / responding to RFP’s  for integrated marketing campaigns, including media, creative and influencer marketing programs

Our sales process

Although the team and the process is in place and working, the BDD will improve this by mentoring, coaching, and growing the team across sales and marketing, so experience of both functions is important

Leads will be generated from a variety of sources, including inbound as well as outbound

The BDD will be responsible for taking leads (regardless of their source) from the 1st contact through to the pitch which will include qualifying the leads, deciding who to include internally, and managing the process end to end, with a responsibility on maintaining and improving our excellent pitch to win ratio.
