Chris Imlay

Head of Design

Chris has more than fifteen years of design experience in games, technology, and general-interest publishing. He started his design career at an indy record label, then worked on a variety of magazines at Future US Publishing, where he eventually became the Creative Director of the Games Group. While most of his experience has been making editorial products (and of those, mostly magazines, both digital & paper), he has also designed lots of other things: music album covers, books, a content management system, posters, mobile apps, t-shirts, logos, and typefaces. He is definitely one of those “form follows function” types of designing person, who thinks of design more as a problem solving and system building pursuit, rather than a “make things look pretty” pursuit.
